Fort Gratiot Light Station Public Ghost Hunt

Join the Motor City Ghost Hunters for a Great Night of Ghost Hunting

The 1829 Lighthouse along the river is a breathtaking backdrop to this investigation! Join MCGH as we take you through several buildings to hunt for paranormal activity. There is so much history of the area, guests have even had paranormal experiences on the grounds. A typical Adult Walk currently involves the Lighthouse, the Lighthouse Keepers Quarters and the Fog Horn Building. The old Coast Guard building and Hospital are currently under renovations and will soon be included in the Adult Walks as well. Participants can usually expect to hear disembodied voices, flashlight interaction and maybe even get touched. During one Adult Walk in October of 2013, a map flew off the wall during our presentation.

If you have ghost hunting equipment, please feel free to bring it with you. If not, our investigators on hand will have an arsenal of ghost hunting equipment on hand so you can see it firsthand being used in action. On all public hunts, please dress accordingly for the weather as some areas may not be heated.

The price paid for all tickets is collected by the Port Huron Museum. The Motor City Ghost Hunters always volunteer their time to chaperon public ghost hunts and do not receive any of the ticket sale proceeds.

Participants also have the option of staying at the Fort Gratiot Light Station Duplex for an extra cost!

I thought the show was great and I loved seeing our old place! We lived on the base for three years, for about 8 months in the small single residence and the rest of our time on the opposite side of the duplex that you filmed in. We definitely experienced ghosts,or spirits in the duplex. But the best was in the small house which, I understand is now used for administrative offices. There is absolutely a lady in there! She actually was very calm, and used to stand at the upstairs bedroom window at night to watch the water. We could see her shadow often. I would love for you to be able to go into that house to see if you can find her.
