Case Background and Claims
We received a call from our male client, stating he and his fiancé had recently bought a home together in the last 6 months and his fiancé is now hearing knocking on their interior garage door a couple times a week between the hours of 12:00 AM and 5:00 AM.This is alarming his fiancé, she is now scared to be in the home alone and this is creating problems in their home as he is an over the road salesman and needs to travel for his job. There is also a strong sense of being watched in the home. After speaking with the client it was agreed that MCGH would go out to their home to investigate.

Our investigation started after Tim W and John arrived and introduced themselves to both clients which gave our investigators a short update on the activity that they’ve encountered in their home. Shortly afterwards John and Tim tried to replicate the knocking doing a series of knocks on the entry door from the garage the client claimed to be hearing the unknown knocks coming from. Our female client got chills and started to get emotional as she stated that was the exact noise she heard as John did a series of 5 fast knocks from the inside of the garage as Tim and our clients both listened. After establishing the noise we set out to check the home for other possible problems that were affecting our clients such as feelings of being watched, feeling sick to their stomachs, nausea and headaches. Many of these symptoms are signs of emf problems in a home’s wiring so we inspected the electrical panel, furnace and light fixtures as well as electrical plugs, within the family’s home. Using our EMF detector as well as our Mel meter and Flir Thermal Image Camera we detected (4) 110v wall switches that were overheating and emitting high EMF readings within our clients home.
Tim and John took their EMF detectors to the 2nd floor where they felt a heaviness on the landing and a slight draft go between both investigators, their EMF meters detected a reading of .5 to .6 which was strange as their base readings were only .1, as they walked thru the home. As they entered the master bedroom both investigators felt cold chills, Tim on his arm and John on his neck. Entering into the son’s bedroom there was a cold spot experienced once again and on inspection with the thermal imaging camera both the hallway and sons’ bedroom were both within 1 degree of each other, so there was no reason that could be found for this draft. As the investigators entered the daughters’ bedroom it was noticed there was an antique dresser in the corner, when John touched it there was an electronic charge that John felt shoot up his left arm. As they left the room, both investigators noticed 3 different funeral cards on the daughter’s desk, one of which stated that her friend died exactly 1 year prior to this evenings’ investigation. Tim and John returned to the master bedroom and proceeded to investigate further. Once in the room, Tim felt a tingle in his arm and John felt, what could have been a hand touch his neck and the back of his head. As the investigators stood looking at an old picture on the wall, Tim heard a voice say “chair”, he looked near the doorway and there was an old chair that looked very familiar (this was the same chair the elderly gentleman in the picture was sitting in that was hung on the wall on the opposite side of the room between both investigators). They decided to sit and do a short EVP session, as they waited for the client to get home with his son.
Once the male client returned home, with his son, John and Tim asked the clients to join us as them as they walked thru their home and explained the findings thus far. We started by showing both clients the EMF readings and thermal pictures of the electrical switches. We suggested that they have an electrician correct their emf problems, that were found and that if went unresolved, could potentially cause a fire from the switches overheating. Afterward, we asked our clients to join us upstairs and explained the findings on their 2nd floor, including the unexplainable breeze that was felt as well as the electrical charge off the old dresser. Then they went on to explain the experiences in the master bedroom, both Tim and John felt as they stood between the old picture of the gentleman in the photo and the old chair. At this time our female client started to tear up as she stated the elderly gentleman in the photo was her grandfather that had passed away a few years prior (our client was raised by her grandfather and he was her best friend) also that the chair in her bedroom was his favorite old chair as well as the dresser in her daughters’ bedroom once belonged to our female clients grandpa. As we spoke to the client we also found out that in the garage, hanging on a hook, was her grandfather’s old walking canes.
Audio Evidence Obtained During Investigation
“Exhaling” EVP class C: This EVP was gathered while the recorder was set on grandpa’s chair. We believe it to be an “exhaling sound” starting at 3 seconds in a male voice. There was no one in the room at the time and we had left the recorder running. The door was closed.
“GO” EVP class A: This was taken directly after setting up gear, the voice is not mine and John is the only other male in the room; it does not sound like him. This EVP was gathered while the recorder was set on table next to grandpa’s chair. We believe it to state, “Go” starting at 9 seconds in a male voice.
“HEY” EVP class A: This EVP was gathered while the recorder was set on grandpa’s chair. We believe it to state:“hey” starting at 3.2 seconds in a male voice. There was no one in the room at the time and we had left the recorder running. The door was closed.
“Frank”EVP class C: This EVP was gathered while the recorder was set on grandpa’s chair. We believe it to state:“I am Frank” starting at 8.5 seconds in a male voice. The grandfathers name is “Frank,” this was verified with the client. This is also in response to Tim feeling something and talking about the knocking.
“Is that what you want” EVP class A: This EVP was gathered while the recorder was set on grandpa’s chair. We believe it to state:“Is that what you want” starting at 2.5 seconds in a male voice. We were trying to get pictures of Grandpa Frank. John was discussing area’s to get a photo from and maybe Frank answered.
“James” EVP class A: This EVP was gathered while the recorder was set on grandpa’s chair. We believe it to state:“James” starting at 3.2 seconds in a male voice. There was no one in the room at the time and we had left the recorder running. The door was closed. You can hear Tim and John talking about pictures outside.
“NO” EVP class C: This EVP was gathered while the recorder was set on table next to grandpa’s chair. We believe it to state:“No” starting at 14 seconds in a male voice. John had noted anomalies in sound and Tim noted a cold spot.
“Listen” EVP class C: This EVP was gathered while the recorder was set on grandpa’s chair. We believe it to state:“Listen” starting at 2 seconds in a male voice. There was no one in the room at the time and we had left the recorder running. The door was closed. You can hear Tim and John talking in the house at the foot of the stairs. *may need headphones*
The team left this home feeling that the activity occurring was that of Grandpa. Keeping an eye on the ones he loves. The residence also feel relieved.
