Case Background and Claims:
HISTORY: The current family has been in the home since 1985.
The owner alleges that there was a suicide by the person, who was an Engineer and designed the house. He built the house for him and his family to live in. Home owner believes she’s the third family to live in the home. The For Sale By Owner sign was up for about 2 years before the current family purchased the home.
RESEARCH: The house sits near a recognized Indian battleground. Records show someone who lived in the home died at this residence. The name and date is being withheld from this site for the respect of the living family members.
There was no structure on this land as far back as 1873, looks like just farm/vacant land.
ALLEGATIONS: The owner alleges that there was a suicide by the person, who was an Engineer and designed the house. He built the house for him and his family to live in. Home owner believes she’s the third family to live in the home. The For Sale By Owner sign was up for about 2 years before the current family purchased the home.
(1) The first incident was shortly after I moved in the house in 1985. It occurred every time she tried to put her one month old daughter down for a nap in her bedroom (day, afternoon, night) and ongoing occurrences throughout her duration of residence at the house. She would constantly cry until client took her out of her bedroom. When she was 2 years old and able to talk the client would still diligently try to put her in bed, she would plead to not make her sleep there and say, “Don’t make me sleep here Mamma, they talk to me at night.” As she grew, the client tried four different beds and mattresses to no avail. The child would get out of her bed at night and put a blanket down next to client’s bed in the room across the hall and the client would find her sleeping on the floor in the morning.
(2) One night, when the child was 5 years old, and one of the rare times the client got her in her room (after she would fall asleep) the client woke up suddenly and saw a young girl about age 5 standing in my doorway. She had a long white dress on with long straight brown hair. I thought it was my daughter because it looked like her. The client called her name and asked her if she was “Okay.” The girl disappeared. The client went in her daughter’s room and she was sleeping. The client gave her a kiss on the forehead and felt that her body temperature was very warm. The client took her daughter’s temperature and it was 105, called the doctor and had to take her to the hospital. She was released from the hospital with no diagnosis. The client was very near sighted at the time of this and could not see her hand in front of her face and did not have my glasses on and was able to see the little girl in the hallway.
(3) When the client’s mother would visit she would call the client’s daughter’s name to come see her. The client would tell her mother she was not home and her mother would swear she saw the daughter running through the house and the grandmother would look for her because she thought client was teasing.
The client felt levitated in my bed several times. One time I actually felt like I was gone and asked my husband if I was in the bed all night.
Something woke the client up one night and her mind told her to look under her mattress. Under the mattress was a journal of false accusations against her that ex-husband was logging. About 1995, the child, who is now a teen, started to sleep in her room. One night she woke up screaming in terror. The client ran in there and teen said there was a man sitting at the foot of her bed. She described him as old with wrinkly skin with 2 long gray braids. We never talked about it after that.
An inscription was found on the kitchen ceiling and it looked like it said, “Mom”. The client tried to paint over it many times and still bleeds through. They re-plastered the area and plaster would not sand smooth. TV’s turn on and off in the basement, main level living room, and the daughter’s bedroom. Garage door has opened and shut by itself countless times. Every once in a while the client catches glimpses, but really cannot make it out, of something white and sometimes dark. Occasionally the client feels a brisk of cold air while walking through the house. An artificial flower ring jumped out of the candelabra in the client’s bedroom. One time, I came home to find every candle was lit in the house.
I frequently hear whispering of my name in my ear while sleeping in my bed.
One time I heard my name in my ear and my mind told me to get up and check the front door, and discovered it was not shut before going to bed.
I also hear my name called out in louder tones (harsh male voice and soft female voice) from other rooms at night. Sometimes it is my full name, sometimes it is my nickname. Sometimes I cannot make out what is said -very low, slow, slurred one syllable and sometimes sounds like another syllable is trying to be said but they cannot get it out.
My grandson will not sleep in my daughter’s old bedroom. Nothing has ever been mentioned about the occurrences in the house. He says he sees lights and people going by and asks if there are ghosts in my house. When he visits he takes me by the hand and says “Take me to the ghost room”. He will not go in there alone.
Somehow I am woken at 3:00 a.m. almost every week night.
After my daughter moved out of the house, my mother moved in with me in 2008. The first night she slept in my daughter’s room, my mother woke up in the middle of the night screaming for me. She said there was a man sitting at the foot of her bed. She described him as old and wrinkly with gray hair parted down the middle with long braids on each side of his head. We never discussed it after that. My mother would also say she heard strange sounds in the room at night.
My cuckoo clock stopped cuckooing a month after I hung it on the wall.
My daughter, her husband, and their son slept over one night in the daughter’s old bedroom. I took several pictures of them and in the background, appeared to be an orb. The circle of light was in different places in each picture. Nothing was wrong with the camera. I currently cannot find the pictures
Landline phone dialed by itself the numbers 4355 on the one year anniversary of my client’s father’s demise.
Out of all the houses on the block, the birds all gather on the telephone wires over the back yard of the client’s house facing the client’s home as if staring at the client, including an almost daily perching of 3 sets of doves.
When digging in the yard to build a deck, the client found a fossilized bone of some sort.
The client’s scapular disappeared from her purse. Months later, when she was putting dishes away in the kitchen cupboards and the scapular dropped down in front of her and landed on the counter on the anniversary of her dad’s one year demise.
The daughter claims the light bulb would flicker then go out in her room quite frequently.
On the one year anniversary of the client’s dad’s demise I was in line at the grocery store. An old man in front of me wearing a shirt like my dad’s favorite shirt turned around, looked at me, winked, and said “Rots of Ruck”. This was one of the client’s dad’s favorite sayings.
Recently the client’s daughter and her husband came to the house when the client was not home to pick something up. The daughter went to the basement, claims she heard a loud harsh voice, didn’t get what she needed, and ran out of the house. In the meantime her husband was in their car and he claims at the same time the garage door was going up and down. They scrambled out without getting what they needed.
Lately, about 4 times so far, at night have been hearing a one loud thump (like something heavy falling) in the living room. Other nights it sounds like light footsteps.
Tom and Gayle reported erratic K-II activity in the living room. Gayle performed an EVP session in both rooms and obtained EVPs and heard DVPs. While in the living room conducting and EVP session, all present were told to place phones on airplane mode. One participant’s phone was completely off and turned on during the session. During this session we tried to communicate with flash lights and a spirit box. There were several flashlight responses, but nothing that appeared to be an intelligent response.
During the ghost box portion we did not receive any direct responses. Gayle believes she picked up “Cas” and “Ally” when the spirit box was running.
Gayle obtained an EVP saying “No” when Heather asked if it’s okay for Alex to comes over to feel.
Dowsing rods provided questionable results.
Multiple knocks were heard by team members, these could have been possible noises created by the home settling.
Ally attempted to speak to the entity in Italian and it appeared that the entity did not like that language change.
EVP session produced random flashlight activity and K2 responses. K2 appeared to be providing a short period of responses. Gayle’s recorder picked up an EVP stating, “I’m E” when Heather asks what the Spirit’s name is. The team believes her name is Elenore based on information from the client. A second EVP was obtained saying, “Great” when Heather is talking and says, “That’s great.”
Participant Alex’s phone turned on by itself a second time. Brenda attempted to do a pre-recorded EVP session with questions. It is believed that entities may be able to hear the question if produced at a different frequency. No results we obtained during this trial.
While in the basement, we had some movement of items (inner tubes that were blown up sitting on a table) that moved multiple times while doing an EVP session. Random flashlight activity with no clear intelligent communications. No confirmed EVP evidence captured. Due to the large group and several conversations taking place in different areas of the basement I ruled out all audio in this area because of the high probability of contamination.
EVP session provided scattered flashlight activity, no intelligent responses were received. Due to the amount of people moving around in the backyard and conversations outside the garage area any evidence captured may be contaminated.
Ally did notate, that she discovered, after the investigation, that her recorder turned itself on and off during the investigation causing her to lose any possible EVP’s.
EVPs obtained during Paranormal Investigation (You decide if these are EVP’s and use headphones).
I don’t know
Gayle obtained an EVP saying “No” when Heather asked if it’s okay for Alex to comes over to feel.
Gayle’s recorder picked up an EVP stating, “I’m E” when Heather asks what the Spirit’s name is. The team believes her name is Elenore based on information from the client.
A second EVP was obtained saying, “Great” when Heather is talking and says, “That’s great.”
Our team did not feel there was anything threatening in the home but are concerned about the bone found in the yard. Client was advised to contact a local tribe to determine if the bone was Native American and if so to have them take care and properly dispose of the bone.
During the investigation we experienced some knocking and minor flashlight activity. Nothing during the investigation could confirm or deny any of the owner’s paranormal claims. It is my belief that if there are any paranormal activities, they are not malicious in nature and do not appear to be of a threatening nature.
